The New York Giants shocked a lot of people when they selected wide receiver Kadarius Toney out of Florida with their first-round selection in the 2021 NFL Draft. Now, after two weeks of the season, this pick is even more confusing as Toney's role has been nearly invisible.

In the Giants' opener against the Denver Broncos, Toney played only five snaps, and followed that up with 19 snaps– although zero targets– on Thursday night in the loss to the Washington Football Team. It is safe to say Toney isn't happy about it, either, as he and Joe Judge had a chat during the game.

You can see the frustration on Toney's face and that isn't a good sign for a rookie in this league. Toney also took to Instagram to share his thoughts and publicly stating your frustrations certainly is going to be an inserting tidbit in New York after a gut-wrenching loss.

On the other hand, Toney did miss all of the preseason games and a ton of training camp with a hamstring injury, as well as testing positive for COVID-19, so perhaps the lack of reps has been a factor for his playing shortage.

Nonetheless, spending a first-round pick on somebody symbolizes that he is part of their plans, but so far he has not been, and the Giants have started off 0-2 once again.
