When you’ve got Grant Hill opening a pack of basketball cards on live television, you know that the sports card craze is here to stay.

During a halftime break, the former NBA star revealed a hobby pack of 2019-20 NBA Hoops Premium and proceeded to open it. The first card to be shown was of Kyrie Irving. It was followed by the base cards of Matthew Dellavedova, Malik Monk, and a High Voltage insert of Kawhi Leonard.

After Leonard’s card, Hill showed a Red Flesh parallel of Rui Hachimura’s Tribute rookie card and a Thaddeus Young silver card. What followed surely made most card fans drop their jaws.

The last card Grant Hill pulled from the pack was a Zion Williamson flash parallel rookie card. Moreover, it wasn't just any card of the 2019 No. 1 pick. It was a variation card with a shorter print run than the base rookie card, making it more valuable.

How valuable is this card Grant Hill pulled? Well, this particular Zion Williamson rookie card recently fetched $86.89 in an auction on Feb. 7. The highest sale, meanwhile, goes to a BGS 9.5 graded copy of this card, which was auctioned off for $349 on Jan. 16.

That amount is just based on recent sales. You also have to factor in Williamson’s impressive performances to his potential card value. If this potential is included, you can expect this card to spike up somewhere in the near future.

It still remains to be seen if Grant Hill knows the real value of the card he pulled. Once he discovers, perhaps he’ll start collecting basketball cards soon.
