Memphis Grizzlies second-year small forward Dillon Brooks is expected to return to the lineup by the end of the month, according to David Cobb of the Commercial Appeal.

Dillon Brooks suffered a MCL sprain in his left knee back in November and has missed 15 games in a row coming into Wednesday.

In the 11 games he played in before getting hurt, Dillon Brooks was averaging 6.8 points and 2.1 rebounds per game and shooting 40.9 percent from the field, 36.8 percent from beyond the arc and 77.8 percent from the free-throw line. Brooks was a second-round draft pick in the 2017 NBA Draft. He was selected by the Houston Rockets and then traded to the Grizzlies on draft night.

Brooks had a solid rookie season. Memphis was just 22-60 in 2017-18, so Brooks was one of the few bright spots for the club during a disastrous campaign. The 22-year-old posted 11.0 points per game during his rookie season and played in all 82 games.

The Grizzlies are having a much better year this season. Memphis enters Wednesday with a record of 15-11, sixth place in the Western Conference. The return of point guard Mike Conley is the main reason the team is winning games again. Conley only played in 12 games last season due to a left heel injury.
