Atlanta Hawks legend Dominique Wilkins is one of the most respected former NBA players around. He has achieved so much throughout his decorated career, and the fact that he was inducted into the Hall of Fame speaks volume of the legacy he left behind.

As it turns out, not even an all-time great such as Wilkins is immune from being treated with racial prejudice. According to Wilkins himself, this is exactly what he was subjected to after he was recently refused service at a renowned restaurant in Atlanta.

“In my many years in the world, I’ve eaten at some of the greatest restaurants in the world, but never have I felt prejudice or been turned away because of the color of my skin, until today in Atlanta In Le Bilboquet,” Wilkins revealed on Twitter.

Wilkins made the controversial allegations on Twitter against the French/European restaurant Le Bilboquet located in Peachtree Road in Atlanta. When asked to provide further details on the incident, Wilkins gladly obliged (h/t Rashad Milligan of Peachtree Hoops):

Apparently, this is not the first time this particular establishment has been alleged of acting in a prejudiced manner against people of color:

Dominique Wilkins is widely considered as one of the greatest players in Hawks franchise history. He's a household name and is respected throughout the city of Atlanta. This is exactly why this alleged incident becomes even more alarming.

To be clear, these allegations against Le Bilboquet are unverified. Much like Wilkins' story above, they are all first-hand experiences of customers who have decided to share their troublesome encounters at the restaurant.
