Atlanta Hawks legend Dominique Wilkins believes that Jabari Parker — the team's newest addition — will ‘surprise a lot of people.'

Per WRDW News 12, Wilkins shared his thoughts on Parker — whom the Hawks signed over the summer. For Wilkins, Parker has loads of talent and Hawks fans are going to see a player on the rise.

“He going to surprise a lot of people. People don't really know how good this kid is,” said Wilkins. “This kid can play. I mean plain and simple, Jabari Parker has talent. I think you're going to see an amazing young player.”

Wilkins also added that the presence of Vince Carter — who'll be entering his 22nd year in the NBA — will help Parker as well as the other young guys in the Hawks' locker room.

Parker, the second overall pick of the 2014 NBA Draft, will be playing for his fourth team in his NBA career. Last season, he played for the Chicago Bulls and the Washington Wizards. For the entire season, he averaged 14.5 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 2.4 assists across 26.9 minutes.

He'll join the young and upcoming Hawks squad comprised of Trae Young, John Collins, as well as new picks De'Andre Hunter and Cam Reddish. Analysts have been upbeat about the Hawks' chances especially since Young and Collins established an efficient pick-and-roll tandem last season. Given their new additions, will Parker and his new team head back to playoff contention?
