Mission #GetTonyToTheLine accomplished. Atlanta Hawks forward Tony Snell notched another rather ignominious NBA record and secured his standing as the king of empty stat lines.

Rob Perez aka ‘WorldWideWob' has been keeping track of Snell's “record” and that has finally come to a stop when the 29-year old got fouled and went to the free-throw line for the very first time this season. With that, Snell now holds the record of most minutes played in a single season without visiting the charity stripe.

The futile streak ended at 471 when Snell was fouled by Sacramento Kings guard De'Aaron Fox on a jump shot midway through the 4th quarter.

Of course, that didn't come without drama, as Luke Walton challenged the call, almost tightening Snell's stranglehold on the record. Nevertheless, the referees stood by their call and Snell proceeded to drain the two freebies.

Even the Hawks announcers were hyped when Snell got fouled.

It's shame that Tony Snell doesn't get to the line often considering he's a very good foul shooter at 83.8 percent for his career. However, that's the problem with someone like Snell, who often just roams around the three point arc, waiting for kick outs.

Snell's lurking playstyle did come in handy when he sank the game-winner against the Raptors on Friday. He made sure to make his presence felt that time.

A lot of NBA fans would probably know Snell as the epitome of few stats, especially with the viral meme of this epic stat line when he recorded absolutely nothing stats-wise in 28 minutes of play.

Nevertheless, he did at least record eight points on 3-of-3 shooting, to go along with three rebounds, and an assist in 27 minutes against the Kings on Saturday. And of course, let's not forget the two free-throws.
