The Atlanta Hawks have been without starting point guard Trae Young for only a short period of time as the up-and-coming signal caller continues to recover from a lingering ankle injury. However, it appears as though the Eastern Conference franchise will be getting the services of the team's starting point guard sooner rather than later as Young is healing much more quickly than initially expected.

Not only that, but the soon-to-be All-Star feels like the X-Men superhero, “Wolverine,” as he continues to work his way back from such an injury.

“If you ask her, she thinks I have, like, Wolverine blood… she doesn’t understand how I healed up so fast,” Young said of Chelsea Lane, the Hawks’ Vice President of Athletic Performance and Sports Medicine, via The The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “The way it looked, when it first happened to now, it’s kind of crazy. But I was giving her props, too, because she deserves it all.”

Young was originally helped off the court back on October 29th on the road against the Miami Heat. He came down awkwardly on his right ankle while it initially appeared as though Young would miss much more than just shy of one week due to the seemingly significant setback.

As it stands today, Young is being listed as “questionable” on the team’s injury report while he is taking things one day at a time. He will now be considered as a game-time decision for Tuesday evening's matchup against the always dangerous San Antonio Spurs.
