With training camp just a few days away, Atlanta Hawk star Trae Young is making the most out of his free time. When he's not playing in pickup games with Adam Sandler, he's busy watching other elite athletes, including tennis great Novak Djokovic.

Djokovic, the world no. 1, had to come from behind in the quarterfinals of the US Open to eke out a pulsating victory over upset-seeking Mario Berrettini, 5-7, 6-2, 6-2, 6-3. Young was so impressed with The Joker's fightback, he took to Twitter to make his feelings known.

Young knows all about battling adversity as he's done it throughout his career. Being a pint-sized guard, he has heard all the negative comments hurled at him. Even when he was dominating for Oklahoma, many observers doubted he could have the same success in the NBA.

Well, here we are. Young led the unheralded Hawks all the way to the Eastern Conference Finals last season, while admirably playing the role of villain with his moxie and unapologetic demeanor.

Djokovic has always been a passionate athlete as well, even breaking his tennis racquet in several instances in the past. So that's something Young could also relate to. Maybe they can play a set or two when the US Open is over.

The Hawks largely stayed pat in the offseason, retaining their entire core despite heavy interests from other teams on getting John Collins. With coach Nate McMillan getting his first full season with the team, expect Trae Young to be at the forefront of the campaign.
