The Atlanta Hawks made quick work of the New York Knicks in the first round of the NBA Playoffs, taking them down in just five games. Trae Young was the biggest reason for his team's success, averaging an impressive 29.2 points and 9.8 assists in the series.

It's no secret either that Knicks fans absolutely hated the Hawks star. From chants like “F*** Trae Young” to “Trae Young's balding”, the Madison Square Garden faithful let him hear it.

After the Hawks sealed the deal on Wednesday night thanks to a 36-point performance from their best player, New York supporters had some choice words for him.

Angry? Bitter? You can call it however you want, but Young basically ended the Knicks' postseason aspirations in a heartbeat. The Hawks had absolutely no problem taking care of business in Game 5, beating NY by 14 points. They had a fit trying to contain Trae Young all series long, who was facilitating and scoring from literally wherever he wanted on the floor.

Now, the Hawks face the top-seeded Philadelphia 76ers in the Eastern Conference semifinals, which is going to be a very tough task. Thankfully for them, Joel Embiid will be out for a few games at the very least, but Young will have a harder time offensively with Ben Simmons likely guarding him.

Trae became a villain at MSG. Maybe, the same thing will happen in Philly. One thing is for sure though, he's getting the last laugh while those Knicks fans are crying in their soup.
