It seems as though Atlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young is happy about the fact that former Vice President Joe Biden has taken the lead in Georgia for the 2020 U.S. Presidential Election.

Young sent out a tweet on Friday morning after seeing that Georgia had flipped in Biden's favor. President Trump was leading in the early count for the Peach State, but votes from Democratic urban areas, especially ballots sent in the mail and counted after Election Day, have since pushed Biden ahead by a narrow margin.

Young wrote on Twitter ā€œYou love to see it,ā€ responding to a video matching up Georgia ā€œflippingā€ blue with ESPN play-by-play commentator Mike Breen yelling his trademark ā€œBang!ā€ call.

Georgia is among several states where the vote for president is heating up. In Pennsylvania, Biden overtook Trump in a similar fashion. Biden is also now leading in Arizona and Nevada, though there are still votes to be counted there as well.

Several other prominent NBA players have chimed in on social media during this election. Earlier this week, Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James shared a video of a woman being denied access to vote at a New York City polling station.

Young and the Hawks will be looking for improvement in the coming season, as they finished the 2019-20 campaign with a disappointing 20-47 overall record. This mark left Atlanta as the 14th-ranked team in the Eastern Conference.

Though he's only entering his third year in the NBA, Young has proven to be one of the most efficient scorers in the league. In his 60 appearances last regular season, the former No. 5 overall pick racked up averages of 29.6 points on 43.7 percent shooting from the field (36.1 percent from beyond the arc), 9.3 assists and 4.3 rebounds, turning into a star for the Hawks in just his second season.
