The Atlanta Hawks selected De’Andre Hunter 4th overall and Cam Reddish 10th overall in the 2019-2020 NBA, and Hawks players are quite excited about it.

Following the Hawks 4th and 10th picks, Trae Young showed his happiness with the draft results on Twitter.

De’Andre Hunter is a 6’7’’ 225-pound forward out of the University of Virginia. Hunter’s athleticism mixed with his 7’2’’ wingspan allows him to be an elite defender and guard multiple positions. On offense, Hunter is a strong scorer averaging 15.5 points per game with a consistent 3pt shot shooting 42% for the Cavaliers. Hunter will be a great addition to the struggling 26th ranked Hawks defense.

Cam Reddish is a 6’8’’ 210-pound guard/forward out of Duke University. Due to the talented 2019 Duke basketball team with Zion Williamson and RJ Barrett, Reddish did not play to his full potential averaging 13.5 points, 3.7 rebounds, 1.9 assists per game. As a 6’8” wing player, Cam contains the handles and shooting ability to be an elite NBA scorer. Reddish can use his scoring ability to compliment the Hawks’ solid 113.3 points per game.

The Hawks are a young, talented team in the Eastern Conference and look poised to make a huge leap spearheaded by point guard Trae Young who was taken fifth overall and is coming off of a 2018-2019 season averaging 19.1 points and 8.1 assists per game.
