Atlanta Hawks fans can let out a huge sigh of relief after Trae Young posted a positive update about his ankle injury. Shortly after the Hawks escaped with a 137-127 overtime win over the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday, the 22-year-old claimed he'll be back on the floor soon.

Whew.

The Hawks definitely dodged a major bullet since Young's ankle injury looked pretty serious early on. The All-Star guard missed the entire fourth quarter and overtime after suffering the setback in the closing minutes of the third period. Young appeared to have landed on the foot of Knicks center Nerlens Noel as he writhed in pain after a shot attempt. The fact that he was unable to put some weight on his leg and had to be helped out to the locker room was a major scare for the Hawks, who are already missing key players.

But looks like Young's latest ankle injury is just a minor one and he'll be back in no time. Or so he says, at least. Before his abrupt exit, the Hawks playmaker was orchestrating their high-octane offense. Young struggled with his shooting, making just six of his 17 attempts but made up for it by setting the table for his teammates. He finished with 20 points, four rebounds, and 14 assists in 30 minutes of action.

The Knicks managed to make a run when Trae Young left the game and even forced overtime. The Hawks, however, were able to dominate the extra five minutes behind Clint Capela's 25 points and 22 boards. Bogdan Bogdanovic added 20 points, while John Collins and Kevin Huerter pitched in 18 and 17, respectively.
