The New York Knicks and Atlanta Hawks played a thrilling Game 1 in their Eastern Conference playoff matchup on Sunday. Madison Square Garden was electric and Spike Lee was jumping up and down as playoff basketball returned to New York. However, Hawks point guard Trae Young silenced everybody with this ridiculously clutch floater to lift the Hawks over the Knicks in Game 1, 107-105.

The Hawks escaped Game 1 with a win and Young was sensational on the evening. He finished the game with 32 points on 11-23 from the field to lead all scorers, along with seven rebounds and 10 assists.

The Knicks fought and the game went back and forth all the way to the final buzzer. Derrick Rose hit a floater to tie the game before Young's heroics sent Atlanta to a 1-0 series lead.

For the Knicks, Alec Burks was sensational and led all Knicks scorers with 27 points on 9-13 from the field. Despite the loss, the Knicks proved they can compete with this Hawks team.

Madison Square Garden was rocking all game long before Trae silenced the crowd with the game-winner. Bogdan Bogdanovic added 18 points for Atlanta and John Collins and Clint Capela combined for 21 points and 20 boards.

If the Hawks want to win the series they will need these types of performances from Trae Young.
