It's not everyday that a 22-year-old gets his own signature shoe, so it's no surprise that Trae Young was overwhelmed with excitement after it has been revealed the Atlanta Hawks superstar will be launching his first-ever signature shoe. The kicks are called the β€œTrae Young 1,” made in collaboration with Adidas (per footwearnews.com).

The news of Young's new sneaker, which will be launched in 2021, was part of an even bigger announcement about the Hawks guard signing a multi-year deal with the shoe giant. Trae was rather speechless after his shoe deal, so much so that he had to resort to a ton of emojis on his most recent tweet to try and sum up everything he's feeling at the moment.

Trae Young now joins the likes of James Harden of the Houston Rockets, Damian Lilliard of the Portland Trail Blazers and Donovan Mitchell of the Utah Jazz as Adidas' roster of superstar guards in the NBA.

The Texas native is looking to debut his signature kicks on his third year with the Hawks, as he looks to continue his amazing career in the league. Last season, Young was able to outdo his already-impressive rookie season by averaging 29.6 points per game with 9.3 assists and an efficient 36.1 percent clip from deep. He was also able to make it to his first All-Star stint earlier this 2020.

With a fresh pair of Trae 1s, look for Young to make a huge statement as he tries to bring the Hawks to playoff contention this 2020-21 campaign.
