While there's still a possibility that the 2019-20 season will resume, Atlanta Hawks swingman Vince Carter already has grand plans for his post-playing career.

In a recent interview, the basketball legend shared his desire to be an NBA team owner and serve as a mentor for young players.

Whether or not the 2019-20 season will resume, it will mark Carter's last season — the last of his 22-year NBA career. VC spoke with Tip “T.I.” Harris on the expediTIously podcast where he revealed his intent to stay close to the game through broadcasting, team ownership, and being a mentor.

“I want to do some broadcasting. I want to stay around the game. I want to continue to be a mentor in some capacity. I have aspirations of being a part of an ownership group. I don't make that kind of money to own a team outright like [NBA legend and Charlotte Hornets owner Michael Jordan] … but at some point, I want to be a part of an ownership group where I can still be that mentor that they need, and I want to be the middle man to bridge the gap for the ownership/executive side,” the Hawks veteran said, as transcribed by Paul Kasabian of the Bleacher Report.

To recall, the Hawks were one of the last teams to play before the NBA called the season off. In effect, it might've been Carter's last game — a sad and abrupt ending to his legendary career.
