It is no secret that Atlanta Hawks veteran Vince Carter has been in the final stretch of his playing career for quite some time now. It appears he will be giving fans a taste of what he has to offer in the broadcast booth against the Philadelphia 76ers.

The veteran is sitting out of Wednesday's matchup versus the Sixers on the second night of a back-to-back. Fortunately, he will not be totally absent from the game and will instead be contributing in a unique way:

Carter should be a fine addition to the broadcast and will offer a fresh perspective as a current player. He has provided commentary on television before, including during Summer League and with the Memphis Grizzlies, Dallas Mavericks and Sacramento Kings, and he is also a host of the popular Winging It podcast.

Carter will always be one of the most iconic players in NBA history. His longevity as the oldest player in the league is further proof of his status as a future Hall of Famer. That said, there is no question that he also has plenty to offer in the broadcasting field in terms of knowledge.

Although Carter will undoubtedly look to shine in the booth, he will also be rooting for his Hawks to pull out an upset win over Philly. While the Sixers may be in a favorable playoff position, they cannot afford to regress before the playoffs start.
