Atlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young is just 21 years old and he can already check off being named an All-Star starter on his career resume following the announcement that came down Thursday that named him to the starting five for the Eastern Conference. When he got word, he was understandably emotional:

Young, who has been the backbone of a rebuilding Hawks squad since joining the league last season, has averaged 29.2 points per game this year, the third-highest mark in the league entering play Thursday.

In addition to having to run the offense, Young has made himself one of the league's more dynamic players through his deft shooting touch and his willingness to fire from nearly anywhere inside of half-court.

Young will be joined in the starting five by Kemba Walker, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Pascal Siakam and Joel Embiid when they take on the Western Conference on Feb. 16 in Chicago.

The Hawks will be back on the court on Friday against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
