With the NBA nearing an imminent return, Atlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young has doing his bit to return to game form. The 21-year-old recently took part in the Skinz League tournament in his native of Oklahoma City, and without showing any signs of rust whatsoever, Young dropped a cool 43 points in what is likely his first organized basketball game since the hiatus.

We've rounded up a few clips of Young taking on some current and former college players, and safe to say: he's back.

It didn't take long for Young to get up to speed, and shortly after tip-off, he was already dazzling with his trademark handles.

It wouldn't have been a Trae Young special if he did not pull up from way beyond the 3-point line, and true enough, the former fifth overall pick did exactly just that during the pickup game.

Ironically, the Hawks are not one of the 22 teams that are going reportedly going to get the invite to Disney World in Florida to play out the remainder of the season. Prior to the league suspension, Atlanta held a 20-47 record, which is just a fraction above the last-placed Cleveland Cavaliers in the East.

This pretty much means that Young and Atlanta's 2019-20 campaign has officially come to an end. Nevertheless, as made apparent by his recent performance in the Skinz League, it is clear that this fact is not preventing Young from working on his game. Hopefully, this translates to a better season for him and the Hawks next term.
