After sitting out the latter half of last season and being removed from basketball activities with the team, the Miami Heat will welcome back Chris Bosh to training camp, according to ESPN's Brian Windhorst.

The Heat, however, is still apprehensive of clearing Bosh to play in games of any sort.

Bosh had previously explored the option of playing while on blood thinners that would be out of his system come game time, but the Heat felt it was a risk they weren't willing to take and the two came to a somewhat sour agreement to sit out the rest of the season.

While there's still no timetable for Bosh's plausible return to the court, sources told Ramona Shelburne of ESPN that there's “more optimism” surrounding his situation now than at any point last season.

The 32-year-old Bosh has stayed in game shape and is awaiting the green light from his team, he averaged 19.1 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 2.4 assists through 53 games with the Heat last season. He still has three years remaining in his contract.
