Miami Heat first-time All-Star Bam Adebayo defeated Indiana Pacers big man Domantas Sabonis to win the 2020 Skills Challenge.
Bam is averaging 15.8 points, 10.4 rebounds and 4.9 assists on the season for the Heat while shooting 57.9 percent from the field and 68.1 percent from the free-throw line. He showed off all of his basketball skills en route to the trophy in chilly Chicago.
Adebayo is the second-youngest player in Heat franchise history to be named Player of the Week after Dwyane Wade. Bam averaged 20.0 points, 11.3 rebounds, and 8.7 assists during the week he won the award.
Adebayo appears well on his way to becoming a multi-time All-Star. The Heat's future with Adebayo and Jimmy Butler leading the way is looking really bright.
It’s clear as day the Heat made the right decision by not trading Adebayo this past summer in a deal for Russell Westbrook or Chris Paul. He’s a gem in Miami.
