Miami Heat big man Bam Adebayo wants to be an All-Star, though he knows very well he won't make it through fan votes alone and that he would need the coaches' help.

Adebayo isn't among the top vote-getters among frontcourt players in the East, and he's clearly not happy about it since he feels there are others who don't deserve to be there. However, he is not losing hope about his All-Star bid, emphasizing that he thinks he could get in via the coaches' votes as a reserve.

I'll leave fan voting to fan voting. There are guys that shouldn’t even be on that list. But it's fan voting. That's what it is and you got to live with that. I mean, right now I'm in a position where it's based off the coaches in the East,” Adebayo shared, via Miami Herald.

The 2022-23 NBA All-Star Game starters are set to be announced on Thursday, January 26, while the reserves will be revealed on February 2. The All-Star Game starters are based on the voting of fans, coaches and media. The coaches from both conferences are also responsible for the selection of the reserves in the annual festivity.

“When it comes to coaches voting, that’s when I feel like I deserve to be in it,” Adebayo added.

Bam Adebayo has certainly been sensational for the Heat and is a big reason why they remain in playoff contention in the Eastern Conference. He is averaging 21.6 points, 10.2 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.1 steals per game.

The Heat center undoubtedly has a case to be an All-Star, though considering the plethora of talents in the East, there's always bound to be snubs. Adebayo could end up being one.
