We are all about to get treated to what should be an epic Eastern Conference Finals showdown between the Miami Heat and the Boston Celtics. Game 1 is scheduled for Tuesday and already, the smack talking has begun.

Heat star Bam Adebayo has taken one of the first shots here as he sent a special message to Jayson Tatum of the Celtics. Appaearing on a recent episode of JJ Redick's The Old Man & The Three podcast, Adebayo proudly shared his smack talk towards the Boston superstar:

“I'm petty, so the first thing on my mind was like, ‘Oh, I’m gonna talk my shit,'” Adebayo said. “Every year I send him the anniversary picture like, ‘Happy anniversary, man. I appreciate you.'”

For those that require context, Adebayo is referring to his mind-blowing and game-saving block on Jayson Tatum in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals in the bubble. Tatum tried to throw it down with just seconds remaining in overtime but the Heat big man met him at the summit for an epic block:

Apparently, Adebayo sends Tatum a message every year about this unforgettable moment. The Heat ended up eliminating the Celtics in that series too, so I'm pretty sure this has been on Bam's mind of late.

Adebayo and Tatum are good friends and they've known each other since they were kids. This is some friendly banter between two buddies. However, you can be sure that both men will be bringing everything to the court when they face off against each other.
