Jersey exchanges are common among NBA players. What is unusual is wearing a signed one post-game — and yet, that is exactly what Miami Heat All-Star Bam Adebayo did. He rocked a signed Bradley Beal jersey in the locker room after the game against the Washington Wizards, subsequently telling reporters it was out of respect.

Miami's breakout star led his team to a win against the Wizards, Sunday night in Washington. The big man stepped up after Heat forward Jimmy Butler went to the locker room in the second half with an injury. When asked about Beal's respect for him, Bam said:

It's great coming from a guy who's been on the league as long as him. One of the top scorers in the league, so it's just great to know you earned his respect.

Despite rough patches and a loss to the Heat, Bradley Beal has led Washington to the ninth Eastern conference spot, 4.5 games behind the eighth-seeded Brooklyn Nets. Aside from James Harden, he is the only player scoring at least thirty points a game. Beal notably exploded offensively after an All-Star snub, with impressive scoring stretches that even involved back-to-back 50-point performances. He scored 23 on Sunday's matchup, ending his streak of 25+ point games. Shabazz Napier led Washington on scoring this time around with a solid performance. The point guard dropped 27 points, also pouring in a game-high seven assists, as well as four steals.

Adebayo, on the other hand, proved once again why he was chosen to be a first-time All-Star this season, leading the Heat to a 100-89 win with 27 points and 14 rebounds. With Sunday night's victory, the Heat solidifies their place on the fourth spot, continuing a surprisingly excellent regular-season run.
