Miami Heat forward Jimmy Butler had some interesting comments after the team dropped Friday’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Jimmy Buckets called out his teammates after he said they played “soft,” but Bam Adebayo spoke out on Sunday to clarify Butler’s comment.

According to Adebayo, Butler’s comments weren't meant to throw the team under the bus, per Brady Hawk of Five Reasons Sports Network. After all, he said “we.”

Jimmy Butler was obviously frustrated after losing to one of the worst teams in the league. True enough, it was an embarrassing loss for the Heat as they dropped their third game in a row.

Fore what it's worth, after Butler said the Heat played so poorly and lacked aggressiveness, the defending East champions responded right away by defeating the Brooklyn Nets–thanks to Bam Adebayo’s game-winning shot

It’s only right that Butler calls out his teammates when he needs to. After all, he is the leader of the team. It has been an up-and-down season thus far for Miami, as injuries and COVID have impacted them throughout the season. They’re currently seventh in the Eastern Conference and have to win a couple of games if they want to avoid the play-in tournament.

For what it’s worth, Butler is indeed appreciated and loved in the Heat locker room. So his comments, whether they seemed tough or not, are for sure coming from the right place.

The Heat’s leader is quietly having himself another brilliant season, as he is averaging 21.4 points, 7.2 rebounds and 7.2 assists per game. Butler hurt his ankle in the fourth quarter versus the Phoenix Suns and was sidelined on Sunday versus the Nets.
