Bam Adebayo is the face of the Miami Heat franchise right now. As it turns out, however, the 24-year-old has much higher hopes than just being this team's cornerstone superstar.

According to Adebayo himself, he wants to be considered as one of the GOATs of the franchise once he decides to call it a career (h/t Sports Illustrated on Twitter):

“I want it to feel like it was D-Wade and Bam, the two greatest to ever wear a Heat jersey,” Adebayo stated.

Adebayo paid homage to the one and only Dwyane Wade as the greatest player in Heat franchise history. In his mind, Bam wants to see himself in the same light as D-Wade. There was no mention of LeBron James, though, which could be quite odd for some.

A lot will be riding in terms of Adebayo's legacy in the coming weeks/months as the top-seeded Heat look to make their mark in this season's playoffs. Wade brought home three titles to Miami and last time I checked, Bam has yet to get his collection started. He has a great opportunity to win his first chip this season and in the process, start staking his claim as one of the greatest players in franchise history.
