Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade is widely recognized as one of the best players in the history of the league. A lot of today's young players grew up as a fan of the All-Star guard. And now that he's almost at the end of his career, Wade gave an advice to the league's future stars during his interview with TheUndefeated.com's Justin Tinsley.

“It’s tougher. The biggest thing … you have to have a foundation of who you are. Don’t lose that person through the smoke. I’ve had moments where he slipped away and I had to find him. For me, I wanted to be a good person, wanted people to walk away from meeting me … feeling better about themselves. So just understand who you are and who you want to become, and strive to be that. Don’t lose yourself in the process.”

Wade has been in the league for 16 years, and although he's had a relatively successful career, he's also not perfect. Still, he did his best to serve as a role model not only to his teammates, but to the rest of the league.

This season, the younger generation has shown their appreciation of Wade by swapping jerseys with him. It has become a culture in the league, as it symbolizes respect for guys like Wade who's influenced a lot of people, fans or players.

There are only a few weeks left before Wade's last dance comes to an end.

But at least he's able to leave the younger guys with something they will be able to use throughout their careers.
