Everyone had their eyes on the Miami Heat when LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh joined forces in South Beach in that infamous summer of 2010. Miami instantly became the biggest villains in the NBA with the three All-NBA talents teaming up right in their respective primes.
The Heat became instant title favorites overnight. However, while they made the Finals that season out of sheer talent, they still had their struggles throughout the season and ended up losing to the beloved underdog Dallas Mavericks squad in the championship round. Dwyane Wade appeared on the “No Chill with Gilbert Arenas” show and revealed why the Miami Big Three flopped in their first year together.
“It took the fun out of basketball. Trying to play the villain, it just took the joy away from the game.” Wade recalled on their first year together in Miami. “Even though we were still good and all that kind of stuff, we didn't have fun in that first year… The hate, it kind of drove in the wrong, we didn't place it right. If we would have placed the hate in the right spot, we could've still had joy playing. We took everything that people said about us and we took it personal. And once we got to the top of winning time, we couldn't perform the way we needed to perform because we were tight.”

Despite losing in embarrassing fashion in their first go-round together, the Heat bounced back in a big way by claiming back-to-back championships in 2012 and 2013. LeBron, D-Wade, and Chris Bosh's run as the most dominant trio in the NBA may have only lasted four seasons, but that stretch became such an iconic era in NBA history.
In the end, the “Heatles” as they were called at the time won two championships together and made the Finals in each of their four years playing alongside each other.
