Jimmy Butler recorded another triple-double on Thursday night when the Miami Heat visited the Sacramento Kings.

Butler has been doing everything for the Heat as of late as they try to find their identity midway through the 2020-21 NBA season. In doing so, Butler hit two birds with one triple-double-stone as he impressively broke two league records with his 13-10-13 night.

First, Jimmy Butler is now the first Heat player in franchise history to record three-straight triple-double performances (via @NBAHistory):

Butler wasn't the only member of the Heat who finished with a triple-double performance against the Kings. Bam Adebayo also recorded his own triple-double with 16 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists. Butler and Adebayo are now the only duo in NBA history to snag a triple-double in the same game more than once (via @SportsCenter):

The Heat have needed all of these crazy numbers from Butler all season long. Butler has now notched four triple-doubles in the Heat's last five contests. Despite these staggering stats from Butler, Miami had been struggling coming into their visit to the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California.

The Heat have now won just two out of their last five games even with their main gunner playing at an elite level.

Knowing Butler, all these stats don't matter if his team isn't getting the W. Which, fortunately, they did on Thursday. All of the Heat's starters were in double-digits against Sacramento with hot-shot Tyler Herro exploding for 27 points off the bench.

Wins have been few and far between for the reigning Eastern Conference champs so far this season. The 12-17 Heat would need Butler to stay on top of his game as they continue to get back on their winning ways and hopefully get back to the postseason.
