Jimmy Butler says rising star Bam Adebayo is the heart and soul of the Miami Heat and the team will ultimately go as far as the big man can take them.

After the Heat defeated the Indiana Pacers in Game 3 to take a 3-0 series lead in their first-round series, Butler raved about Adebayo's play on both ends of the court.

“Bam don't need no more confidence. Bam knows that he's one of the top players in this league. And he's only going to continue to get better because he works and he cares…I always tell y'all and I mean it he's the heart and soul behind us, he's what makes us go,” the Heat star said.

Jimmy Butler led the Heat in scoring with 27 points in 37 minutes. The five-time All-Star also grabbed eight rebounds and dished out four assists in Game 3 to get the best of Pacers wing T.J. Warren again.

Bam Adebayo, meanwhile, put up 22 points, 11 rebounds and five assists in Game 3. He played 33 minutes and shot an efficient 7-of-11 from the field and 8-of-9 from the free-throw line.

The Heat are now one win away from advancing to the second round of the playoffs for the first time since 2016. It's an exciting time to be a Miami fan.

Butler and Adebayo have developed a strong bond this season in Jimmy's first year with the Heat. The two All-Stars are fierce competitors and play the game the right way. Miami certainly has a bright future with Butler and Adebayo leading the way.

During the 2019-20 regular season, Butler averaged 19.9 points, 6.7 rebounds and 6.0 assists, while Adebayo put up 15.9 points, 10.2 boards and 1.3 blocks.
