The Miami Heat have a nice core headlined by Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo, Justise Winslow and rookie Tyler Herro. Miami is 15-5 on the season, good for a second-place tie with the Toronto Raptors in the East. With Butler leading the way, the Heat are well on their way to getting back to the playoffs after missing it last season.

Despite being a rookie, Herro doesn't act or play like one. He has that killer mentality the Heat love, and it has been on display from Day 1.

In a interview with SLAM Magazine, Adebayo says the Heat made Herro guard Butler on the first day of practice to throw him in the fire. Herro, as expected, welcomed the challenge, while Butler claims he was giving the youngster buckets:

This is what that Heat culture is all about. You have to love to compete if you want to play for Pat Riley and Erik Spoelstra, and Butler, Adebayo and Herro are all about competing at the highest level, even in practice against each other.

Herro is putting up 14.0 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game on the season. He's shooting 44.6 percent from the field, 39.8 percent from beyond the arc and 82.2 percent from the free-throw line.
