Ex-Milwaukee Bucks forward PJ Tucker had an emotional message to the entire city of Milwaukee after his stunning exit en route to join the Miami Heat. The free agent chose to end his short stint with the Bucks and sign a $15 million, two-year deal with the Heat which had members of the Bucks community shocked, including PJ himself.
On Monday, Tucker took to Instagram to post an emotional message to the franchise he just won a championship with.
“Wow. I’m still a little lost for words to be honest. Still in shock but it is what it is. Today took a hard turn on the road of my career but like my grandma used to tell me.. all you can control is what you can control. With that being said Milwaukee.. the city of MILWAUKEE!!!! You will never fully understand what y’all mean to me. Our time together however short will hold some of the best memories of my life forever. You took me in and had my back throughout our journey and I will FOREVER be grateful and hold you near to my heart. I can’t thank y’all enough. WE WILL ALWAYS BE DAWGS!” Tucker posted.

Tucker arrived in Milwaukee in late March in a mid-season trade with the Houston Rockets. Tucker only played 20 regular-season games in Milwaukee but the city quickly fell in love with his toughness and ferocity on and off the court. His time in Deer Valley, albeit quite short, was definitely sweet and PJ Tucker will forever hold a special place in the hearts of Milwaukee fans.
