Washington Wizards head coach Scott Brooks is surprised Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade is retiring from the NBA after this season.

Brooks believes Wade has plenty left in his tank, especially seeing him play at a high-level coming off the bench for Miami.

In 62 games this season for the Heat, Dwyane Wade is averaging 14.2 points, 3.7 rebounds and 4.0 assists while shooting 43.6 percent from the field, 32.7 percent from beyond the arc and 67.9 percent from the free-throw line.

For a 37-year-old who has a ton of miles on his body, Wade has looked fresh and explosive all season. The Heat enter Saturday with a record of 35-37, which is good for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

After Saturday's game versus the Wizards, the Heat will have nine games left in the regular season. Basketball fans everywhere are hoping Miami can make the postseason so they can see Wade play in the playoffs one more time before he rides off into the sunset.

The Heat are coming off a loss to the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday. Back-to-backs are never easy in the NBA. Both Miami and Washington are fighting for their playoff lives, so Saturday should be a good game in the nation's capital.

Scott Brooks, while he was complimentary of Wade pregame, is certainly hoping the future Hall of Famer has an off game against his Wizards.
