The Miami Heat reportedly have heavy interest in Washington Wizards shooting guard Bradley Beal, according to Greg Sylvander of Heat Beat Miami.

By all accounts, it appears the Wizards don't want to trade Bradley Beal unless they get a grand trade offer for the All-Star sharpshooter. Beal is currently playing the best basketball of his career now that he's the No. 1 option in Washington, with point guard John Wall out for the rest of the season.

The NBA trade deadline is on Feb. 7.

Wizards guard Bradley Beal continues to be a player the Heat are circling back to with heavy interest, according to a source. Washington’s asking price thus far appears astronomically high and likely too steep, but Miami considers Beal a frontline star with upside.

In 45 games for the Wizards this season, Bradley Beal is averaging 24.9 points, 5.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game. The 25-year-old is shooting 46.9 percent from the field, 35.4 percent from beyond the arc and 78.8 percent from the free-throw line.

Washington is 19-26 on the season. They are currently out of the playoff picture but only 2.5 games out of the eighth and final spot.

If the Wizards and Heat were to discuss a Beal trade, Washington would surely ask for Justise Winslow or Josh Richardson from Miami — two young players who are coming into their own this season. It will be interesting to see if talks pick up.
