It seems as though Andre Drummond can possibly land in Miami and join the Heat amid all his contract woes.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have publicly declared that they're shopping their starting center and have opted to sit him out until a deal is in place. And, according to Sam Amico in FortyEight Minutes, the reigning Eastern Conference champs have a decent chance of landing the two-time All-Star.

Ideally, the Cavs' front office would want to trade their big guy in exchange for fresh talent or future picks to help them build their young core. They've been in talks with teams like the New York Knicks, which the center is apparently welcoming. Unfortunately, they've lost all sorts of leverage when they opted to sit Drummond out for the remainder of his stay in Cleveland as they try to look for a deal. Seeing that the 27-year-old clearly wants out, other teams can simply opt to wait for the March 25 trade deadline, which will leave the Cavs no choice but to buy Drummond out of his $28 million expiring contract.

This, according to Amico, puts the Heat in a prime position to snag the reigning rebounding leader.

Aside from having the salaries to work out the deal with the Cavs, the Heat are desperate for some stability in the paint. They've put all their frontcourt burdens so far this season with Bam Adebayo and pairing him with someone like Drummond should be nothing but beneficial for all parties involved.

Drummond was averaging 17.5 points per game with 13.5 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per outing before sitting out the last couple of games for the Cavs.
