If there's anything else certain in this world besides death and taxes, it's the sight of Dwight Howard tossing up an airball from the free-throw line.

The new Charlotte Hornets big man is a notorious free-throw shooter, and fans were reminded of that once again during the team's preseason opener against the Boston Celtics.

Howard found himself on the charity stripe in the first quarter of the game. As expected from the 31-year-old, however, he didn't just miss the freebie but sent it wide left, not even hitting anything.

A 13-year NBA veteran, Dwight Howard had his fair share of air-balled free throws throughout his many years in the league. After all, he is a career 56.6 percent shooter on that department.

Fortunately for him, it's still the preseason and he would still be forgiven. Not that one made shot would also do anything in the game as they lost to Boston, 94-82.

The Hornets, however, would certainly need their center to improve on that area, as it might prove beneficial for them when the season starts.
