Charlotte Hornets guard Devonte' Graham opened the season as a reserve guard that figured to see rotational minutes for head coach James Borrego. Fast-forward just over a month to Wednesday's game versus the Golden State Warriors and Graham set a new career high with 10 three-pointers made, finishing with 33 points, nine assists and seven rebounds in the team's 106-91 drubbing of the defending Western Conference champions.

Scorching the nets from long range is nothing new for Graham, who knocked down nine triples back on Nov. 16 in Madison Square Garden en route to a 29-point showing. Despite averaging 3.3 makes per game on the season entering play Wednesday, Graham went just 1-for-10 from behind the arc Monday versus the Suns; whatever went wrong has clearly been rectified.

Not yet factoring in the performance of other shooters around the league, with his effort Wednesday, Graham has now moved into fourth place among all players with 3.6 made threes on a nightly basis.

It's a bit of sweet irony for Graham that his epic shooting evening came against a team that was at the forefront of revolutionizing the three-point shot for the league as a whole with the historic success of Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson.

Both were sidelined Wednesday due to injury, but Graham, suiting up for a rebuilding Hornets squad, took advantage of the opportunity that the club has given him.

There's little reason to believe that Graham can't keep this going moving forward. Charlotte has shown a willingness to deploy him for as many minutes and shots as he can handle, which could lead to many more epic three-point shooting nights in the future.
