Charlotte Hornets point guard Kemba Walker says a shooting coach on the team changed his shooting mechanics when he was 24-years-old and it helped him become a better shooter in the NBA.

Walker worked with the shooting coach in the summer of 2015. The electric guard says the shooting coach — who apparently has a last name which Walker can't pronounce — moved the ball more to the right and it completely changed Kemba's game and the way teams guarded him.

“I moved my shot over to the right a little bit,” Walker told Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports. “I was always shooting in front of my face a lot. We had a shooting coach whose name was Bruce. I would say his last name but it's tough to say. He moved the ball over to the right. Helped me with my footwork. We just stuck with that.”

The change in Walker's shot was big for him, as in the 2015-16 season, the All-Star guard shot a career-high 37.1 percent from beyond the arc while averaging 20.9 points per game. In the 2016-17 season, Walker took his shot to another level, as he shot 39.9 percent from the 3-point line.

Kemba Walker is now a three-time All-Star. He's averaging a career-high 25.1 points per game this season while shooting 42.8 percent from the floor.
