LiAngelo Ball took full advantage of his opportunity with the Charlotte Hornets in the NBA Summer League over the last couple of weeks. While he struggled in their finale on Monday night against the Chicago Bulls, there were far more positive things to take away overall from the play of Ball.

LiAngelo is trying to earn a roster spot with the Hornets or another NBA franchise as he tries to work his way into the league. His younger brother, LaMelo Ball, is already established as a franchise pillar for Charlotte while older brother Lonzo Ball just signed a lucrative deal in the offseason with the Chicago Bulls.

The middle of the Ball brothers reflected on his NBA Summer League performances while stating that he believes he belongs in the league, via SI.com.

“I feel like I belong in the league, but I know I can show more than what I did,” Ball said. “I'm not satisfied with how I played this last game, but overall it was all right. I can always get better going forward.”

Playing for the Hornets, Ball did indeed show those flashes that he may belong in the NBA and he did so with a ton of eyeballs watching on from the stands. Every time he touched the ball on Monday night against the Bulls the crowd went crazy despite LiAngelo's up-and-down performance in that game specifically.

It was the first taste of Summer League for Ball and something he clearly enjoyed partaking in.

“It was a good experience,” Ball said. “I was able to pick up new things and learn new stuff because I have never done summer league before. It was a good experience overall. I was glad to be here.”

Now the waiting game is on to see if the Hornets or another team extend an offer to LiAngelo Ball.
