In their win, Walker dropped 43 points including 21 in the fourth quarter alone. This is the second-straight scoring outburst from the 6-foot-1 guard. In their loss to the Philadelphia 76ers, Walker unloaded 60 points — a career-high.

In a post-game interview, Kemba Walker was asked what got into him in the past two games. He admitted that he's just playing basketball and is trying his best to win. He also commended his teammates and the coaching staff for putting him in the perfect position to score.

Hornets head coach James Borrego, who spent 10 years with the San Antonio Spurs as Gregg Popovich's assistant, has employed a faster style of play and a higher volume of attempts from downtown. For Walker, Borrego has given the point guard more room to operate.

Kemba Walker is off to his best start in his NBA career. He also became the sixth player to follow up a 60-point performance with a 40-point game.
