The Carolina Hurricanes were defeated in Game 7 of their playoff series against the New York Rangers in what was a pretty lopsided clash. The Canes sustained a key loss early in the game when Seth Jarvis went down with a concussion after taking a gnarly hit from Rangers defenseman Jacob Trouba. Jarvis revealed on Thursday just how bad the concussion was, including some harrowing details of his memories, or lack thereof, from that night.

Via Walt Ruff, Jarvis revealed that he only remembers a few things from that night. Jarvis told Hurricanes reporters he remembers being hit by Trouba in Game 7, as well as featuring on an early power play. He then said he recalls watching a bit of the third period from inside the Hurricanes' locker room and receiving a ride home from teammate Jesperi Kotkaniemi later that evening. Apart from those recollections, Jarvis revealed he remembered nothing until midway through the following day.

That's incredibly scary news, especially considering Jarvis is incredibly young. In fact, the Hurricanes' 20-year-old was the youngest player in the entire NHL Playoffs. To learn that he was dealing with such serious symptoms of his concussion is certainly an eye-opening revelation.

Jarvis only played a bit over 2 minutes in the Game 7 loss after Trouba's hit knocked him out of the contest. Carolina went on to lose 6-2 to the Rangers on their home ice, their first loss at the PNC Arena throughout the entire playoffs.

Hopefully, Jarvis is back to 100% health soon and his concussion symptoms don't linger. Regardless, his recount of the situation is harrowing.
