Jack Harlow has a song called “Tyler Herro” and recently took part in the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game, so is it really a big surprise that he's being cast in a starring role in 20th Century's White Men Can't Jump reboot?

Deadline reports Harlow nabbed the Woody Harrelson role for the film in rather “exceptional” fashion:

Harlow will step into the role played by Harrelson and the circumstances behind landing the starring role are exceptional. He got the lead role after his first ever screen audition, immediately winning over the filmmakers and execs, particularly Barris. Harlow’s got game too, as evidenced by his play during the recent NBA All-Star Weekend’s Celebrity Game. The filmmakers are now looking to set his co-star as the movie is on a fast track.

The original White Men Can't Jump was released in 1992, with Harrelson as Billy Hoyle and Wesley Snipes as Sidney Deane in the leading roles. The film helped launch Harrelson's movie career after he starred in Cheers.

Jack Harlow will now star in this fresh take on the classic film. As mentioned, Harlow has never acted before besides his music videos, so it's pretty impressive that he was able to secure this role after his first audition.

Now we'll have to wait and see who will be playing the Snipes role alongside Jack Harlow, who released a song about Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro in 2020.
