Jason Terry was not pleased with how his last season with the Houston Rockets went down.

After reaching the Western Conference finals in his first year with the team, the Rockets tapered off in 2015-16. They didn't clinch a playoff spot until the final day of the season, and they were quickly eliminated by the Warriors in the first round.

Terry, who once averaged double digits in 13 consecutive seasons, filled a small, but necessary role for Houston. The Rockets' philosophy of spreading the floor and either shooting layups or three-pointers worked well for Terry, who often found himself waiting on the perimeter after his defender was forced to help inside.

Logically, he seems like a perfect fit for the Rockets. But, at age 38, Terry no longer intrigued general manager Daryl Morey. The Jet was informed last month that Houston would not re-sign him.

Now that he's a free agent, Terry can speak openly on his feelings about the Rockets' front office. He didn't exactly paint a pretty picture.

Terry's comments, from Sirius XM Radio:

“They didn't know what they wanted to do. It was obvious, and a little disappointing.

“I'm looking at the list (of players the Rockets let go) as we speak, and we might have to call up Daryl Morey. Morey, are we the trash that the Rockets threw away, or what?

“Morey, either you know what you're doing, or we don't even want to say the other end.”

Maybe Terry's just bitter that Morey and the Rockets decided to let him walk. But, he's not the only person to criticize Daryl's management of the roster.

We'll see how the changes pay off for Houston this coming season. As for Terry, he's still looking for a new home.
