According to new reports, the Boston Celtics are not using Jaylen Brown as a piece in trade talks for Kawhi Leonard with the San Antonio Spurs.
How do we know this? Well, I am glad you asked.
It comes by way of this report:
Hearing Jaylen Brown has NOT been discussed in any potential deal for Kawhi Leonard. #Celtics are taking conservative approach in talks with #Spurs.

For those who haven't been able to follow along on a frantic Thursday in the realm of Kawhi Leonard news, the disgruntled Spurs superstar is apparently going to be traded because San Antonio is done with him. In turn, the Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers are the two rumored most likely landing spots.
Thing is, the Lakers are apparently gearing up supposed Godfather offers while the Celtics are far less willing to give up key assets — as it is also worth pointing out, Boston is reportedly concerned with Leonard's health and commitment to play basketball moving forward.
As for Jaylen Brown, while he's clearly not (yet) Leonard, he's a great defensive player who is improving dramatically on offense. Boston has some tough decisions to make over the next few hours, but with a loaded roster at is disposal, anything is possible.
Welcome to the best offseason there is friends. The NBA's version of free agency and tomfoolery!
