Former NBA All-Star Jayson Williams called himself a “coward” for his coverup of the drunken accidental shooting death of his limo driver in 2002, which landed him a five-year prison sentence in 2010.

Williams shot hired limo driver Gus Christofi when handling a shotgun in his home. He discusses the shooting and his time in prison during Tuesday night’s edition of “60 Minutes Sports” on Showtime.

He was the 21st pick of the 1990 NBA Draft by the Phoenix Suns, soon after traded to the Philadelphia 76ers on draft night and eventually retired from the New Jersey Nets after breaking his leg during a game in 1999.

In the interview, he also talks about his recovery from alcoholism and his efforts to remain sober. He was charged earlier this year for drunk driving after he crashed his car into a utility pole in upstate New York.
