The Utah Jazz will be without their superstar player Monday as they take on the Toronto Raptors, as Donovan Mitchell is out due to a left ankle sprain, which he suffered last game against the Denver Nuggets.

This is a huge loss for the Jazz as they take on the best team in the Eastern Conference in the Toronto Raptors. The Jazz will have to figure out how to win without their best player on the floor.

So far this season, Donovan Mitchell has averaged 22.4 points, 4.1 assists, 2.8 rebounds and 1.8 steals per game. He is also shooting 42.9 percent from the field and 31.6 percent from three point range.

The Jazz are in a brutal part of their schedule, even though four out of their five games in this tough stretch are at home this coming week. To kick off the week, they will play the Raptors, Mavericks, Celtics and at the Grizzlies. These teams combined are a 21-13.

This will be the first game all season Mitchell will miss, and it is not known how long he will be out for. Mitchell only missed three games all of last season.

It is not known who will be starting in place of Mitchell, but if Alec Burks can play Monday night, one would think he would be the guy who would get the starting nod for the game against the Raptors.

Will be interesting to see what head coach Quinn Snyder comes up with and a game plan that works for them with Donovan Mitchell out against the Raptors.
