Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell has one of the more prolific players in the league today, though the former Louisville Cardinals standout is not known for his height. With Mitchell also serving as one of the more outspoken players in the league, it is no surprise that the Jazz guard was quick to call out Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum about his height, which has seemingly increased during this year's very short offseason.

Donovan Mitchell has accused Tatum of “lying” about his height as Celtics head coach Brad Stevens recently mentioned that the Boston forward is now 6'10” after previously clocking in at 6'8″ in 2019-20.

Of course, Tatum couldn't remain completely silent with Donovan Mitchell calling him out on social media like this. As a result, the 22-year-old Tatum played right into the banter while joking that he is still only 19 years old and is still growing.

While Donovan Mitchell initially had the upper hand in this exchange, it appears as though Tatum's quick wit and willingness to make fun of himself ultimately prevailed.

Both Donovan Mitchell and Jayson Tatum signed massive contract extensions with their respective franchises this offseason as both players seriously cashed in. Mitchell was originally selected by the Jazz — by way of the Denver Nuggets — with the 13th overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft out of Louisville with a former Duke Blue Devils standout in Tatum coming off the board at No. 3 overall to the Celitics that same year.

Quickly ascending to the top of the league in terms of young talent, the tandem of Donovan Mitchell and Jayson Tatum continues to excel both on and off the court.
