Stephen A. Smith made his opinion on the Utah Jazz crystal clear this week when he went on ESPN's First Take and publicly declared that he “can't stand” the team. That didn't sit well with Jazz fans, and one person in particular took exception to Smith's remarks.

Dwyane Wade, who is a part-owner of the Jazz, took to Twitter to extend a hilarious and somewhat savage offer to Smith, inviting him to come sit courtside in Game 3 to see if his opinion shifts.

Rather than stoop to Smith's level of blasting the team on national television, Wade coolly extended an invitation to Smith to check out the vibes for himself. Perhaps sharing a bottle of red wide courtside with D-Wade would leave the ESPN talking head with a better opinion of Salt Lake City and the Jazz.

After the Jazz dropped Game 2 to a Luka Doncic-less Dallas Mavericks, Smith decided he'd had enough. While this was obviously just the eccentric ESPN personality being hyperbolic in order to draw increased viewership, he had some pretty damning things to say about the team, prompting the response from Wade.

Wade purchased an ownership stake in the Jazz in 2021, though it's not known how much of the franchise he owns. He's been actively involved in the organization and now, he's going to bat for the team on Twitter after Smith took some rather unnecessary shots. We have our doubts whether Smith would ever actually take D-Wade up on his offer, but it was certainly worth a shot from the 40-year-old.
