Joe Ingles is one of the most underrated players in the NBA, and the Australian is coming into this season brimming with confidence after a terrific 2017-18 campaign. The Utah Jazz swingman was asked if he lost confidence in his jumper following a few early misses against the Toronto Raptors on Tuesday.

“No. I’m the best shooter in the league,” Ingles shot back at reporters, per Eric Woodyard of Deseret News. “That’s a silly question.”

He was later asked a follow-up question about whether or not he believes he is the best shooter in the league. He didn't waver for a moment.

“Oh, I am. Yeah, why wouldn’t I? The numbers I’ve shot, the percentages, they obviously are what they are and people are going to dissect everything but, I honestly feel like they’re all going to go in when I shoot the ball.

“When I feel like it’s my shot within the flow of the offense and getting in any rhythm, I feel like I should make every one of them. That’s why it (ticks) me off in practice when I miss open shots because I feel like I should make them.”

Ingles is known for his cutting wit and sense of humor, but he could not be more serious about this. He might have a point, too. Although not the high-volume shooter like a Stephen Curry or Klay Thompson, Ingles' shooting percentages can go toe-to-toe with anyone in the league. He shot a ridiculous 44 percent from deep last season.

The Jazz are one of the underappreciated teams out West and should challenge for a top-four seed. Joe Ingles' shooting is a huge reason for the team's success.
