The Utah Jazz have wasted no time as NBA free agency kicks off and are bringing back veteran point guard Mike Conley on a big-time deal, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

The Jazz and Conley were always likely headed for a partnership, and the pairing of Conley and Donovan Mitchell will continue to go on for the next few years. After finishing as the top seed in the Western Conference, they are bringing their core back together to aim for an NBA title.

Bringing back Conley always made sense and this move nets him a decent amount of money. He was injured in the playoffs, but when he is healthy, he is one of the most valuable guards in the league and the trio of Conley, Mitchell, and Rudy Gobert remain as one of the best in the league.

This is some big-time money for a veteran but one that makes a lot of sense for both sides, and it is no secret that Conley wants an NBA championship more than anything.

The Jazz are set for the next few years and should go into the season as one of the favorites in the Western Conference and in the NBA.
