Utah Jazz head coach Quin Snyder had multiple meetings with his players about the seriousness of the coronavirus, per Jeff Goodman of Stadium.

Jazz All-Stars Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell have tested positive for the coronavirus. The NBA, as a result, has suspended the 2019-20 season:

Players on the Jazz have privately said Gobert has been careless in the locker room touching other players and their belongings. Gobert was shown on video jokingly touching the microphones of reporters several days ago, and now he's got the coronavirus.

There is a strong chance the NBA season is over. If that's the case, the Jazz will finish the campaign with 41 wins. Led by Gobert and Mitchell, the Jazz were going to be strong players in the playoffs this season. They had the talent to get to the Western Conference Finals if everything lined up in place.

Now, though, we may not see the Jazz and other NBA teams play until next season.

Gobert and Mitchell both made the All-Star team this season for the first time. Gobert, the reigning two-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year, is averaging 15.1 points, 13.7 rebounds and 1.5 assists on the season, while Mitchell is putting up 24.2 points, 4.4 rebounds and 4.2 assists.

2020 has been terrible for basketball fans. The deaths of David Stern and Kobe Bryant and now the suspension of the season have made the start to this year just awful.
